On the surface, squirrels seem to be planners, hiding nuts for future meals. But some studies show that squirrels also forget about most of the nuts they bury. Maybe it's that combination of thinking ahead but also not giving too much focus to any individual detail that has kept the species thriving for 200 million years. Try on the vibe.
