Ellie Rowsell felt "chuffed" to be asked to work with Harry Styles.
The Wolf Alice star was invited to join the former One Direction member in the studio to provide backing vocals for tracks on his new album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally - and she's admitted it was a "real pleasure" to record with Harry.
She told NME: "I was chuffed to be able to go to his studio and listen to some of his songs and put down some harmonies. It was a real pleasure.
"I actually haven't heard the whole album in its entirety yet, so I'm looking forward to it."
Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally is set for release on March 6 and it's the pop star's first studio release since 2022's Harry's House, which debuted at number one in the UK and US and went on to win three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
With nearly four years having passed since his last album release, Harry admitted he was in no rush to return until the music felt completely right, and having that break helped him develop as an artist.
He said: "For me the making of the whole album was a really important time in my life. Taking a big step away from everything, I just learnt a lot about myself and the way that I wanted to work ... I feel really excited about it, I'm excited to play it to people and that felt like a really good reason for the timing to be right for putting it out."
Harry also revealed the album's title is his "life mantra" and the philosophy he lives by.
The 31-year-old singer opened up about the meaning behind the record's title while appearing on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr, explaining that the album title is actually a good way to live.
Harry said: "It's a life mantra! It's unhealthy to disco all the time so loving and moving through your life with love and then taking a break every now and again to have some fun is a really good way to approach your life. And I feel like that's what I did for the last couple of years and it led to positive changes in my life so..."
Harry also revealed the time he spent in Italy added with a smile: "You can probably stop [kissing] to eat and stuff - definitely an extended lunch break - and then right back to it … I spent a lot of time with Italians the last year or so and they're kissing all the time so … it's just art imitating life."
