The death of “Deadliest Catch” fisherman Todd Meadows is under investigation.

A U.S. Coast Guard representative told the Daily News the body of the rookie deckhand who fell overboard last week off the coast of Alaska was released by the Anchorage Medical Examiner’s Office Monday after an autopsy was performed.

Authorities in Juneau were notified late Wednesday afternoon that Meadows fell from the the Aleutian Lady fishing boat in the Bering Sea.

When first responders reportedly located Meadows 10 minutes later, they unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate the 25-year-old victim.

“As the nation’s leading marine safety organization, the Coast Guard investigates marine casualties and accidents to uncover their causes and initiate necessary corrective actions,” a Public Affairs Officer said in a statement sent Tuesday evening.

The U.S. Coast guard didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

The Discovery Channel program was filming its 22nd season at the time of Meadows’ death, according to Deadline. Production on upcoming season of “Deadliest Catch” has reportedly concluded.
