Dead Kennedys' East Bay Ray diagnosed with Parkinson's disease

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Dead Kennedys co-founder East Bay Ray, one of the greatest punk rock guitarists of all time, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
The news was made public via the Dead Kennedys social media pages on Tuesday.
“Dead Kennedys management announced today that the band’s guitarist and founding member, East Bay Ray, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease,” the post reads. “Ray says he plans to continue performing and touring with Dead Kennedys for as long as his health allows, and expressed his appreciation to everyone for their continued support.”
The Dead Kennedys have a string of West Coast and Pacific Northwest concerts on the books, including an Oct. 9 date at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. For more information. visit deadkennedys.com.
