'ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER'

Rated R for pervasive language, violence, sexual content, and drug use.

What it’s about: A former revolutionary has to regain his skills and reunite with his comrades to save his daughter.

The kid attractor factor: This is an incendiary political adult drama — not much appeal for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Family is the most important thing.

Violence: Some extreme bloody violence — shootings, bombings, etc.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: Sexual material and sex scenes but limited nudity. References to sex.

Drugs: Smoking marijuana.

Parents’ advisory: Too violent and mature for kids. OK for teens.

Rated PG-13 for thematic elements, some language and suggestive references.

What it’s about: An elderly woman finds herself caught in an awkward lie while trying to find connection in a new city.

The kid attractor factor: This is an adult drama, not much appeal for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Leading with honesty is the best policy, but a heartfelt apology can work wonders.

Violence: None

Language: Some strong language.

Sex: None, a few cheeky comments.

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: OK for audiences of all ages, but the subject matter might not appeal to kids.
