Sound Advice: Enjoy luxurious relaxation with home theater seating

Luxurious, comfortable and affordable home entertainment chair: Last week I referenced a trade show encounter that resulted in a product review. History is repeating itself as I just returned from a trade show that led to something that needs reporting immediately. I also love a product with a good story behind it, and this is definitely a good story with a happy ending for anyone looking for audio/video seating, or even just a very comfortable, full-featured chair for their home.

Audio Advice (audioadvice.com) is a highly regarded A/V retailer with a strong internet presence as well as several store locations in North Carolina. In addition to selling high-quality equipment in all price ranges, Audio Advice installs many custom home theaters, some of them costing a million dollars or more. Something they found in the course of their business is that even the wealthy customers spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on their home theaters were balking at the price of premium home theater seating, which can cost up to $7,500 per chair. This led them to develop their own home theater chair, the Audio Advice Revelation. This high-quality product sold for under $2,000 and quickly became a best seller, even to the millionaires.

Audio Advice decided to improve upon their success with the new Revelation Luxury chair. The Revelation Luxury is indeed a revelation because it packs in so much, yet sells for relatively so little. The chair is solid and comfortable and finished in the same vegan leather used in Tesla and Rivian automobiles, which resists wear and is easy to clean. It has a reclining mechanism that slides forward as it reclines, so you only need 2.5 inches between the back wall and the chair to fully recline. It has motorized recline and lumbar support, heated backrest, shiatsu massage, integrated crumb catchers for easy cleanup and a removable swivel tray that stores in the chair and has a grippy surface to make it harder to spill things. There is also a USB-C charging port, two illuminated cupholders and dimmable LED floor lighting. The Revelation Luxury is available in single and multiple configurations, including love seats. As I sat in it I reflected on what an amazing chair it would be to just have, even if it wasn't being used for a home theater, gaming or TV watching. It also makes me wish my grandparents were still around to experience it. They sure loved their recliners in their TV room, and the Revelation Luxury is so much more! I think I would have ended up buying a pair for them.

The Audio Advice Revelation Luxury chair lists for $2,499 but is currently available for a limited time at a product launch special price of $1,349 with free shipping. No discount codes are required to get the deal. I don't know how long it will remain at that price but if is quite a bargain, especially with free shipping! I have pictures and more information about the chair on my website so if you are interested, visit soundadvicenews.com and check it out.

Q. Are there any TVs that have good sound without adding a soundbar? I would like to keep things simple, and it is impossible to evaluate TV sound in stores these days.

A. Top-of-the-line Panasonic TVs have an integrated Technics system, and it is reputed to have the best television sound in the industry. The TCL QM7K and QM8K have excellent audio systems developed with high-end Danish manufacturer Bang & Olufsen. In budget category, the Hisense U6N and Roku Pro TVs sound very good as well.
